Kids FAQ for Bullswood Skirmish Kent

We offer a short Q&A list to help parents learn more about what a kids paintball day consists of. If you have any other questions or need to discuss your requirements then please call Clare on 01342 870870 or email us at skirmish@globalnet.co.uk

Clare and Dan have compiled a useful list of the most regular questions asked by parents. Check them out, they might have the answer you are looking for!

What is the minimum age for a child to play?

We cover paintball sessions for kids starting from age 10. Kids over 16 are able to play in adult games.

Is your company fully insured?

Yes, we have full Public Liabilty insurance for £5,000,000 covering ages 10 and upwards.

Does it hurt a lot?

To be frank, getting shot by a paintball gun is not a pleasant experience, but this is part of the thrill. Parents must know that the kids will be wearing camouflage gear and protective body armour for little guys, coupled with a padded hood and full-head goggles in order to provide maximum protection. In addition, for easing down the pain, we use only the finest brittle paintballs.

Do you offer the gloves?

The answer would have to be "no" because many kids "borrow" them. We advise you to purchase wooly gloves on site, they cost only 3 pounds.

My kids want to use grenades, can they?

The law here does not let us sell or allow the use of any pyrotechnics to anyone under the age of 18, so the answer would have to be "no".

How many kids do we need for a kids paintballing session?

For the open days that are held on set dates, the number is not strict. We will keep the kids on the same team but also maybe join them with other teams.

How many kids do I need for a private paintball party?

16 or more players are necessary for a private paintball party. You can pick any date and timing (a session lasts about 3 hours or so), and parents have the possibility to join in, although I doubt the kids would want that. You will have your own seating area, a fully dedicated team from our company and no one else will join the team, 100% private.

Can adults join the fun?

Yes they can, but only on private paintball parties.

How many paintballs do we need?

We recommend that you bring about 300 paintballs per player for the half day kids paintballing parties.

Do we get lunch?

After the first two games of the day, we offer hotdogs. You are free to bring any snacks or any type of food. Squash and coffee are free after each of the sessions.

What's the age range?

10-15. Kids less than 10 will have to wait for a couple of years.

I hear we can use Tesco Clubcards at Skirmish Kent?

Yes, you have heard right. You are able to use clubcards on our Standard Half-day Young Gun package. We will not accept them for additional paintballs.

Do you split groups up?

We do all our best to try not splitting groups up.

What if it rains?

No problem, if it rains we have the Safe Zone which has loads of coevered seating. Luckily, the woodland is in a dell so it bearly rains here. If it is cold and windy, we can always build a warming fire.

What do parents do?

It is basically up to the decision of every parent. Some bring their kids and then go shopping or grab some lunch. Others stay and watch their kids "going commando".

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Of course you can. At the end of each of the sessions we end things with an awards presentation and a tasty slice of cake is the perfect way to end a paintball day.
