If you are planning on going paintballing with a couple of friends then you must have a couple of questions that you would like to ask. In the following, you have a short yet useful list of questions and answers that might clarify any problems. If you have any other questions or need to discuss your requirements then please call Clare on 01342 870870 or email skirmish@globalnet.co.uk

Whats the youngest age you can entertain?

Answer - Adult paintballing is for players that are 16 years old or more. If you have kids under this age, they would have to play in the kids paintball sessions that covers kids from 10 to 15.

Are you fully insured?

Answer - Yes, we have full Public Liabilty insurance for £5,000,000 covering ages 10 and upwards.

Does it Hurt?

Answer - To be frank, getting shot by a paintball gun is not a piece of cake, but this is part of the thrill. Parents must know that the kids will be wearing camouflage gear and protective body armour, coupled with a padded hood and full-head goggles in order to provide maximum protection. In addition, for easing down the pain, we use only the finest brittle paintballers.

Do you supply gloves?

Answer - The answer would have to be "no" because many players have the tendency to "borrow" them. We advise you to purchase wooly gloves on site, they cost only 3 pounds.

What if its cold?

Answer - No problem, if it rains or if it is cold we have the Safe Zone which has loads of covered seating. Luckily, the woodland is in a dell so it bearly rains here. If it is cold and windy, we can always build a warming fire.

I want grenades, can we use them?

Answer - First of all, kids are not allowed to use grenades. For adults, we offer smoke and paint grenades.

How many do I need for a private paintball party?

Answer - 16 or more players are necessary for a private paintball party. You can pick any date and timing (a session lasts about 3 hours or so). You will have your own seating area, a fully dedicated team from our company and no one else will join the team, 100% private.

How many paintballs do we need?

Answer - For kids, 300 paintballs. For adults on a full day about 700 and for a half day, about 500.

Can we bring our own paintballs?

Answer - No, because it will invalidate our precious insurance.

Can my mates get some old Naval Flares?

Answer - No.

Do we get lunch?

Answer - All our adult full day packages include lunch (burgers, sausages, beans, mash, cheese & onion - we ask for vegetarians on the day). No lunch is included in the adult half day packages - it can be arranged in advance - and kids have hotdogs. Tea, coffee and squash is free on each session.

I hear we can use Tesco Clubcards at Skirmish Kent?

Answer - Yes, you can use clubcards for our adult standard entry package and adult pay-as-you-play packages. For kids you can use them for our standard half-day young gun package. I'm afraid we cannot accept them as payment for additional paintballs.

Do you split groups up?

Answer - Luckily, no. We try to keep all players togheter.

What if it rains?

Answer - No problem, if it rains or if it is cold we have the Safe Zone which has loads of coevered seating. Luckily, the woodland is in a dell so it bearly rains here. If it is cold and windy, we can always build a warming fire.

What are the timings?

Answer - the adult full days start at around 9.15-9.30 (private games can choose their start time within reason)
Adult half days are usually between 9.15-13.00 and 1.00-14.00.
For our kids open paintball sessions the timing is 12.00 - 13.30 (aim for an 11.45 arrival). If you are having a private kids paintball party then you have the possibility to choose your timings, though 10.00 - 11.30 and 12.00 - 3.30 are the most common.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

Answer - Of course you can. At the end of each of the sessions we end things with an awards presentation and a tasty slice of cake is the perfect way to end a paintball day.

Do you take cards?

Answer - Yes, we accept almost everything, other than Amex and Magic Beans.
